OH GOLLY my new record sounds AMAZING!!!! I’ve been in the studio for over 4 months working on it with my producer, Warne Livesey (who makes things sound AMAZING) and it has been one of the most AMAZING experiences of my life!
I have really been in a state of joy since we started the record, and pouring that particular ingredient into the music seems to work very well, IMAGINE THAT!!
I can’t wait for you to hear it. It will come out in the spring, and will be available all over the net, at ITunes, Myspace, and of course at my website, www.mark-hildreth.com. You should stop by soon!
The record is entitled “Complex State Of Attachment,” which is a phrase that the Dalai Lama used to define Love.
I was going to pick John Lennon mainly based on his work when he was in The Beatles, but since the question seems more solo artist based, the truth be told John Lennon as a solo artist didn’t do as much for me as when he was in The Beatles with the other guys.
So I went with Michael Jackson since not only did he write some great hits as a solo artist, he was an all around awesome entertainer!
Great question Mark, I was going to choose John Lennon but there is a point when I have to stop listening to his music or it just doesnt effect me but that’s not the case with Stevie I never get tired of him, he is amazing!
I can’t wait to hear new music! I love what your doing with the site too, it’s great.
Had to go with none of the above on that one. Jeff Buckley is number one in my mind. That boy was beyond genius, beyond words. John Lennon would actually be my second choice.
And I also cannot WAIT to hear the new album!! I’m really looking forward to your new material! When I read the Dalai Lama’s definition for complex state of attachment, i let out a little “aww” haha 🙂
Great news on the new album! I’m curious if it’s going to be offered as a cd or just downloads? I’d love either way but I prefer cd’s.
Cool video and I like the new look of the website so far. Your singing voice is amazing and the accents are great. I look forward to more vids and will keep watch of the site. I do miss the blogs on myspace tho, but it means I have to come here more often.
