Pat

My dear aunt Patricia Speer has died, leaving behind my 3 cousins and my uncle. She will be dearly dearly missed. I have learned so much from her.

Goodbye Aunty Pat. And may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

  1. it is hard loosing someone you love…but remember those precious and sweet memories you had once they were with you…my grandparents passed away and my uncle willie as well…it brought grieve over our family but we pulled through the way it ought to be…just remember she is with the lord now and is in a beautiful place…

  2. I’m sorry for your loss, Mark. It’s funny that you talk of your aunt ‘leaving behind’ people. The playwright, Harold Pinter, was diagnosed with a terminal illness and wrote a poem for his wife, Antonia Fraser, some months before his death in 2008:

    ———-

    To A
I shall miss you so much when I’m dead
The loveliest of smiles The softness of your body in our bed
    My everlasting bride
Remember that when I am dead
You are forever alive in my heart and my head

    ———-

Don’t you think that is very thought-provoking and touching? I’m sure she is surrounded by much love and heavenly company now, but I’m sure she still feels for you all as if she were not really that far away. Requiescat in pace, Aunt Patricia.

  3. I am really sorry to hear that.Death is such a strange and difficult thing to deal with.I wish you, your cousins, and uncle all the best in this unfortunate time.
