Here I Am

Sometimes it feels like I’m lost at sea
I just can’t see the forest for the trees
I know you love me, you throw me a rope
But all I can say is that I’m losing hope

The moment I let it
Is the moment I start
Breaking all my walls apart
I want to see you with my heart

Here I am
On my own
I can never go back home
Here I stand
Here’s my heart
And I’ve never gone this far
I want to see you for who you are

When I bleed you, when you fall
From the place where I know you are just being who you are
Now I understand that, to be a man,
I can’t let that happen anymore

Here I am
On my own
I can never go back home
Here I stand
Here’s my heart
And I’ve never gone this far
I want to see you for who you are

I’m trying to tell you
About the way that I feel
The things you say to me
Mean a great, great deal
To be a happy man
I’m gonna have to let go
Of the things I been hiding
From myself, and so

Here I am
On my own
I can never go back home
