Little Life

If I die before we wake
If my earthly soul they take
I show the mighty army
For what it’s meant to be

Lie lie lie lie lie lie lie
People fight and people die
Go to war and look for meaning in their lives
Not a soul is singing, mine is wonderin why

Tallest guns and walls at war
A power never seen before
And the love that lasts, that mothers fear
Will never last no more
Buried in the urn behind the door

If I die before we wake
If my earthly soul they take
I show the mighty army
For what it’s meant to be
This little life won’t mean too much to me

Lie lie lie lie lie lie lie

If I die before we wake
If my earthly soul they take
I show the mighty army
For what it’s meant to be
This little life won’t mean too much to me
This little life won’t mean too much to me

  1. This song is beautiful. I only wish it had more followers. I don’t think it has gotten enough attention. Please keep doing what you are doing.
    Forever a faithful follower,

  2. I love Mark’s voice. I think both albums are brilliant. I would like to see him release a covers album next though, I think his own lyrics are great but I just like his voice so much that it would be good to see his take on other songs. ‘All I Know’ by Art Garfunkel and ‘All I Need To Know’ by Bette Midler would be two I’d like to hear Mark sing 🙂
