I’m very excited about The Tudors coming out on April 5! One thing that I really like about it is: my Mum likes it! She saw an advanced copy of the first 2 episodes of season 3 of The Tudors and she loved it! And I love it when my Mum likes the shows I’m in. A good friend of hers called her up and told her that I was a question on Jeopardy (as my character Reginald Pole) and she was so chuffed by that that she just had to call and tell me. Call me a Mummy’s boy, but I love it when that happens.

The third season of the acclaimed Showtime series The Tudors, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, premieres on April 5th! You can see me as Reginald Pole, an english clergyman working with The Pope in Rome to unseat Henry and put a Catholic back on the throne of England.
Filming the series in Dublin Ireland last summer was an excellent experience, I worked with some amazing actors and creators, and had some amazing Guiness! Jonothan Rhys Meyers, Max Von Sydow and the other actors were a pleasure to be with, and I’m very excited about this season of the show, I think it will be the best yet!

The Tudors is premiering in the US April 5. I play Cardinal Reginald Pole, a major new character in the 3rd season. My character is enrolled by the Pope (played by Peter O’Toole) to help bring down Henry VIII (played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and restore the English monarchy. I had a great time working on the show in Ireland, and can’t wait to see how people respond to it. It is a quality show, and I’m very proud of it.
